Mau P has quickly become a household name in the electronic music scene. His meteoric rise to fame is nothing short of remarkable, and he has solidified his position as one of the most exciting and sought-after artists in the industry.
Born Maurits Westveen, Mau P began his musical journey as Maurice West, a DJ and producer who quickly gained recognition for his energetic sets and catchy productions. However, Mau P felt the need to evolve and explore new creative avenues, leading to the birth of his current persona.
Mau P‘s debut single, “Drugs From Amsterdam,” catapulted him into the global spotlight. The track quickly gained traction, accumulating millions of streams and topping the Beatport charts for over a month. This marked the beginning of Mau P‘s incredible journey.
Following the success of “Drugs From Amsterdam,” Mau P released “Gimme That Bounce” in January 2023, coinciding with his first North America tour, which sold out shows across the continent. He also collaborated with Kevin de Vries on “Metro,” which became the most played track at Tomorrowland 2023.
Mau P continued his winning streak with the release of “Your Mind Is Dirty” and “Dress Code,” both of which achieved significant success. Throughout 2023, Mau P graced some of the world’s biggest stages, including EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Hï Ibiza, and Amsterdam Dance Event.
Mau P kicked off 2024 with a bang, announcing the release of his highly anticipated track, “BEATS FOR THE UNDERGROUND,” his new Ibiza 1 Radio show, XXX Radio (pronounced triple x), and his residency at Wynn Las Vegas.
Mau P‘s momentum continued with a headlining back-to-back set with Diplo at Coachella’s Quasar stage. He also launched his multidisciplinary concept, Baddest Behaviour, with sold-out events in New York, Miami, Denver, and Brooklyn.
Mau P teamed up with legendary producer Mike Dean for his second release of 2024, “On Again.” This collaboration further cemented Mau P‘s status as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
In just 18 months, Mau P has achieved an extraordinary list of accomplishments.
